    Therapy

    Saturday, March 15, 2008
It's my nature to spend. For example, whenever we go (window) shopping, I don't feel good without bringing anything home. Doesn't matter what it is... can be a pen, book, magazine, shampoo, lotion, ... of course I'll be happier if I take home shoes, bags, clothes and the like. Point is, I just spend whenever I feel like spending. Of course, there were tipid times, but generally speaking, I'm more of an impulsive rather than wise buyer. I feel pleasure when I shop. Well, I guess I'm no different with most of the girls in the sense that I need "retail therapy" to make me high. *LOL*

I've been on shopping rehab these past few weeks ... meaning, I don't spend for stuff other than daily necessities. I have to think twice, thrice, or ditch the urge to buy altogether. Reason being (1) we're currently unemployed (2) we just shopped for winter clothes and stuff in U.S. I have provided for myself ever since my mom stopped supplying me moolah after college. Never tried taking breaks in between jobs. If I have vacations, they were all paid leaves. So the thought of "no income" makes me feel lost... and it sometimes does freak me out. :( Oh anyways, it's a little too early to worry for now since we've just been here for a month. I'm praying really hard that we get a job really soon.

To make-up for the shopping rehab, I do scrap therapy. I begged off from my CT responsibilities at Scrapdish for the month of Jan-Feb. So I tried to catch up for the Feb-March deadline. My mojo was quite active and I was able to produce 2 LOs this week! Here they are (click photo to see credits):

    before departure
Sabi ni Aggie kamukha ko raw si Vicky Belo dito! *LOL*
    I miss my Mom :(

    Crazy Cousins
My first take on photo extractions (I did some before but not for digiscrapping).
Time consuming but I'm starting to get the hang of it. :)

Ow, did I mention why we're on ober tipid mode these days? Making up for the big cash out last month for this and this. *LOL*

Next up, I have to do catch ups on Project 52 and photos of our US trip.

    Blogging from NJ

    Saturday, February 02, 2008
I was suppose to post this yesterday but wasn't able to hook on a wireless internet connection. boo...

The time now is exactly 5:02 am, Feb. 1... Blogging from NAIA now while waiting to board... it's another hour of waiting... hay...

I wasn't able to rest well last night coz I was crying uncontrollably. My heart was literally aching. I can't bare to think we're leaving our family and our home. Sabi nga ni dex, "pano yan di pa tayo umaalis umiiyak ka na?" O nga naman... e why ba? Nalulungkot ako e. Actually, lahat naman yata kami sa family naging senti lalo na last night when we had despedida dinner. Anyways, as my sister-in-law said in her goodbye text "now wipe the tears and go".. we'll always have a family to come back to in case we feel homesick .. aaawww... we're gonna miss you all....

    Here's my post for today....

Nasira ang beauty ko sa flight namin kahapon... 6am flight to HK then to San Francisco then finally New Jersey. Almost 20 hours of flight time plus stop-overs in between. Whew... tiring. Now, we're finally here.. safe and sound. I was expecting to see snow when we arrive but nada.. no snow yet. It's been raining though, so the weather is still cold. Jetlag? Nope, not really. Dex and I wasn't able to sleep the night before our departure so knock down talaga kami ni Dex when we hit the bed. It's 7:30am Feb 2 (NJ Time) right now... I'm sending a few emails and will get back to bed.

That's all for now... Thanks to all who left love through the shout box... *hugz*

    It's been a year....

    Monday, January 21, 2008
It's been a year since we walked down the aisle...
    exchanged our vows...
and pledged to take care of each other till end of time...

It's been a year of learning...
as we live life not as an individual....
but as an entity called family....

It's been a year of coping...
as we adjust to each others' personalities...
    both likes and dislikes...

It's been a year of blessing...
for having each other to snuggle with every night...
    whether "you" snore or not...

It's been a year of marital bliss...
I wish for our love and family to prosper...
and if not too much to ask, our waist be smaller...

    Happy Anniversary to US!!!

I can't believe it's been a year. Time really flies when you are busy. So how did we celebrate this special occasion? Well, nothing new... we just have to eat eat eat. *LOL* We're supposed to treat ourselves with a special spa but we're not sure where to go. Well, we'll just make it up some other day. For now, we'll just settle with personal massage by the spouse in our own room with matching efficacent oil and bossanova music. The husband actually is addicted to the wife's magic hands... (with matching bugbog at siko) *LOL*

Thanks to all who remembered and left their greetings here and through text... :)

    Jitters

    Thursday, January 10, 2008
The big move is 3 weeks away. I'm a little overwhelmed with the things we have to prepare. Thinking about it makes my head ache. I'm having jitters already... looks like it's gonna be series of sleepless nights again. At times, I do have the urge to cancel everything. Yeah, slap me real hard just so I wake up and face reality. :( Like last night, I spent hours lulling myself to sleep. I prayed real hard for God to take my worries away. And I have to stress again, He really hears our prayers. Around late last year, I prayed and asked Him to enlighten me with this big worry I'm facing. I got a solution to it the very next day. Then last night, I prayed for Him to help me again on the same issue (on another context). Today, I got an answer to my prayers. Can you imagine I was praying and thanking Him while I was taking a shower this morning... for giving solutions to my problems whenever I call on His name and ask for help. I realize, God is everywhere. You just need to reach out and let Him in. Have you done that? I just did.

Anyways, life will be hectic in the next few weeks so I need to cut back on internet time and focus on the stuff we need to do. Hence, I'll be MIA (missing in action) for a while. Will still do project 52 and upload photos in flickr but will not be posting as much. To know my whereabouts, just check my flickr album.

    Happy 2008!

    Friday, January 04, 2008
It's been over a week since my last post. The new year has started and yet my posts are still late. hehe... Needless to say, the entire 2007 just went away in a blink of an eye. I haven't even savored the Christmas holidays yet it's all over. A lot of photo shoot opps during the last month of 2007 and I'm hoping to finish my backlog before I share any photos. I have yet to finish my LOs for the month of Dec-Jan for scrapdish. Before January ends, I hope to get the CD calendar, family photos, and family LOs printed. A lot of stuff to do huh? And we haven't even started packing for our flight on the first week of Feb. It'll be a Manila-New Jersey-Toronto itinerary... I hope I can stand the winter cold by then. We'll be scavenging for winter sales here and in NJ.... shopping galore!

By the way, new year new curls for me. I'm actually at Tony and Jackey Buendia branch right now... surfing and blogging while waiting for my turn for the next shampoo.... Before I entered the salon, it's a battle between rebond and digi-perm. Hubby voted for digi-perm so there... I'm perming my hair for the 2nd time. It's been almost a year since my last perm in HK.... I'd say it was all worth it. I hope my perm this time will be as nice as the last one. Fingers crossed.

... oops... shampoo time... tata for now!

ETA: The perm turned out nice naman. I have to go back again next week to color my hair. I kinda like the first perm than my current one. The curls are ok but the layers from my first perm was better. The stylist said my curls will flatten a bit by next week. That reminded me of my poodle look a year ago. hahaha... We'll see.... I'll share some photos after my hair gets colored :)

    One Fine Day

    Wednesday, December 12, 2007
Traffic is getting bad these days. To avoid morning rush, we would always "try" to start the day a little earlier to lessen commute time. Yes, "try" meaning it doesn't always happen. *LOL* Today, however, is one "successful" day which turned out as planned. We arrived Makati at 7a.m. - just in time before the traffic enforcers prey for cars on number-coding. Since it's too early for work, we decided to have breakfast at Figaro. Albeit expensive, we just have to reward ourselves for the effort. *LOL* It feels so good to start the day with hefty breakfast and a nice cup of coffee. I had sausages with scrambled egg and Dex had ham & egg sandwich. Both with refillable brewed coffee. Yummy eh?
    figaro breakfast
We spent almost 1.5 hours there over newspaper, magazines, and chitchats. I read an issue of Marie Claire which brought back memories of my early 20s when Cosmo magazine was my ultimate bible. Yeah, I was once kikay too. *LOL* Anyways, I'm looking forward to another early breakfast Wednesday next week. Umagang kay ganda!

P.S. Obviously, the husband is home! His Beijing escapade in the next post.

    After 24 cups of Java

    Thursday, December 06, 2007
Got the Starbucks 2008 Planner last Tuesday. I can finally stop begging friends to spare me stickers for my sticker card. Thanks to achi (SIL) for informing me regarding "double-the-planner-stickers" perk in celebration of Starbuck's 10th year Anniversary. Me and my friend Patty were able to fill our sticker cards on the same day because of that.
    got the starbucks planner!

See my bloated face and arm? (eeeeks!!!) That's what you get after stuffing yourself with 24 cups of coffee with whipped cream in less than 3 weeks! Bakit si Patoots hindi tumaba?! So unfair!!! *nyahahaha*

By the way, I had the 2007 planner which I forgot to blog last year. Would you believe it is still good as new... as in never been used or written! Twas so nice so I thought writing on it seemed such a waste. Yeah, I was wrong. Now it's going to be for display forever! Tsk tsk... I've learned my lesson so the moment I got hold of the 2008 planner, I immediately sharpened the pencil (which is a bummer) and wrote on the pages! I hope to make good use of it from today on.

    The Man is Away

The husband just left for his 4 day business trip in Beijing. I was hoping to tag along if not for the project deadline next week. :( I hope his schedule will still allow him to stroll around. The trip will only be fruitful if he gets to visit the Forbidden City and Great Wall of China. I wrote him a list of English-Chinese translations that will come in handy when he needs to communicate his needs. I almost filled half of the page with names of Beijing delicacies. And of course, the husband didn't fail to remind me to include this line in the list - "I'm hungry. Let's eat." *LOL*

So while the cat is away, the mice will scrap and blog until sawa.

    A Ball on His Back

    Monday, December 03, 2007
Hubby underwent cyst incision at the back last Nov. 23. It started to grow years ago and was only as big a pimple back then. I've been nagging him to have it removed but he refused to since the doctor said it's not harmful. When he had it removed, it was already as big as a jolen ball. The operation took only 30 mintues. And the husband was very proud of himself when he walked out of the operating room. Anyways, I think the wound is healing fast because there would always be late night requests to scratch the boss' back. *LOL*

Looks like phlegm? buto ng santol?

Note: This thing is still lying on top of our table as the husband refuses to throw it away! Juice ko!

    Drowning

Swamped with work on a Monday morning. I'm literally drowning from the pile of tasks to do. Would you believe we stayed until 5-ish last Thursday while it was announced that we could go home earlier due to the coup-thingy? Deadlines to beat, what could be more important than that? Will working days be like this until I resign from work? 3 more weeks to go....

    Copycat

    Monday, November 26, 2007
I received a text message from Mai last Friday informing me that my LO was snagged by this blogger and she claimed that it's her work. I was shocked and puzzled at the same time. I've heard of piracy/plagiarism on photos that's why most photographers watermark their work before posting them on the web. But why would somebody pirate an LO?

The whole story was revealed in the bebot forums. This copycat blogger has a blog site that contains posts from everywhere. She's been constantly copying and pasting other people's posts on her blog. Cheche's her ultimate idol as most of the posts were snagged from her. Funny thing is, she copies everything from the title to each and every single word. So that makes everybody's relatives her own relatives, everybody's husbands as her husbands, other people's cooking her own cooking, and more. She only copied the LO that I submitted and won me a prize in one of the bebot contests. It was my photo in the LO and the journaling was about me... and yeah, she claimed that it's her. I wonder why she didn't snag my cooking posts? Hindi ba mukhang masarap ang mga luto ko??? *LOL* Even crazier, she posts messages on her shoutbox using other pinoy bloggers' names as if her blog's super popular. I was really laughing hysterically when I saw cheche and tantan's name on her shoutbox - idol talaga! Even Aggie, Diane, and fritzie's name were also there. So she has imaginary friends, get it? Weird!

Oh anyways, I wasn't really THAT mad... but I guess every person has their own intellectual rights to protect. I posted a couple of messages on her copied posts asking her to please credit the owners. See, I'm poised as ever. haha... She was already bombarded with hate messages from everywhere so I don't need to post a few more. Besides, I was more of dumbfounded with her insanity rather than mad with what she did. As of last night, the copycat had deleted the copied posts and removed her shoutbox already.

I'm not a good storyteller so you can read the full story here, here, and here.

The world is surely full of crazy people...

    Back to weddings

    Thursday, November 15, 2007
My good friend Carol sent me message through YM around a month ago announcing that she's going to get married next year. Boy, I was so happy for her! The soon-to-be wed couple is currently based in Toronto and the wedding will be in Manila. Added to the fact that she'll be doing most of the wedding preps overseas, she doesn't have any idea at all where to start and what to prepare. Ako naman etong si excited, started bombarding her with ideas about wedding planning! And so I volunteered to help her out with hunting for suppliers they have in mind. As of yesterday, we have successfully booked Master Dino and Threelogy. I had a couple of phone and email conversations with Dino and Bong to discuss the photo and video package. It's as if I'm preparing my wedding all over again. I love it! Some people around were pushing me to try wedding coordination as a sideline. My usual response is "I want to be a wedding photographer, make-up artist, and wedding planner. But look at me now, I'm a programmer!" hahaha... Well, we're leaving soon so I guess I have to dismiss the thought of switching to another profession for now.

Anyways, Carol requested me to email her the list of suppliers we got for our wedding. After drafting the email, my friend Patty (who's also getting married soon) scanned through the lengthy composition and commented na suppliers rating na raw yun. She suggested I should post it in w@w as it will really help other brides in their preparation. I had second thoughts coz it was long overdue na. But after mesmerizing for a few days, I decided to go with it. Maybe not in the usual rating form, but more of a tribute to suppliers thingie. I owe this to our suppliers because they were really great! So from this post on, please expect a series of wedding related posts. I hope this won't bore my readers. hehe... And I will be moving on to a new blog after posting all the wedding stuff. :)

    That's all for now!

    Green at heart

    Monday, October 08, 2007
Moment like this, it really makes us (including hubby) proud to be green. Well, I'm not a die-hard fan actually. But seeing Araneta stadium packed with archers' in green and white was really wow! I was telling hubby: "sana nanood din tayo..."

For a while, I thought I was back in college and started reminiscin'. I haven't been there since I graduated so I googled it and landed up in this blog. Surely brought back a lot of lost memories, some of which I can still vividly remember...

    1. The PGP chapel near the library which I used to visit before going to an exam.

    2. My first taste of Katsudon and Gyudon at the Japanese stall at Aristo.

    3. College canteen's ketchup-etti (spaghetti with ketchup sauce), 3M pizza and burritos. Ah, and also the source of my hepa A when I was still a freshman.

    4. Mang Jack

    5. Tennis and Ballroom dancing class at SPS building. Nakakapagod umakyat...

    6. SPS canteen where we usually eat lunch after P.E.

    7. Angelus around the campus at 12pm and 6pm. Each prayer is ended with:

St. John baptist de la Salle, pray for us
live jesus in our hearts, forever...

    8. Chess Plaza where most guys linger around for sexy babes.

    9. Sisig at Kaibigan - the carinderia beside Gokongwei hall (computer science building) which turns into a beer house by night?

    10. Grilled liempo and pusit at the garahe (near Agno).

    11. Tumutulong aircon...

    12. Herny's sirloin steak, Mongolian Barbeque at UM, McDo Taft, Wendy's Taft, Swan's sizzling spaghetti, Kanumayan...

    13. Library - a comfort from the summer heat. Dati puwede pang matulog, pero nung huli bawal na.

    14. SPS Bookstore - quiz booklets, DLSU t-shirts, etc. another comfort from the summer heat.

    15. Mga taray sa Registrar's office.

    16. Late night exams

    17. Madugong thesis at defense

    18. Catch '97

    19. at siyempre... the alma mater hymn.. Hail! Hail! Alma Mater, Hail to De La Salle!...

    Hay.. kakamiss...

    Photography Class Day 2

    Sunday, September 30, 2007
We were asked to submit one photo for portraits and one photo for still life today in 3R prints. The day started with a photo critique session wherein all the submitted photos were posted on the board with proper code labels. Each of us were asked to pick a good and bad shot for each category. Entirely anonymous pick. Sabi ni Madam (our teacher for today), there were cases before na umiiyak yun student kasi super sinabon siya sa photo critique. Well, bato-bato nalang sa langit. Mababaw lang kaligayahan namin. Ok lang na hindi na mapili as "best" shot yun submissions namin, as long as wag lang malagyan ng big X mark! I submitted these photos:

    cris2
Portrait - I still owe my boss a cup of Figaro for being my model. *LOL*

    Still Life - Keys

There were shots na sinabon talaga ng husto. Luckily, I was spared with any X mark signs but got a couple of check marks instead (otherwise I won't be blogging 'em here. *LOL*). I got a couple of helpful tips from Madam and a few classmates. I hope to do better next time.

I was suppose to submit these but weren't allowed to since they're in black and white. Colored daw kasi dapat... (!?!)
    cris
Ang galing ng model ko noh? Super emote!

    coins
These were hubby's collection. Sabi ni Glo puwedeng panghampas daw sa mga mukhang pera *ouch* haha...

The afternoon session was lecture about composition. Before the lecture started, would you believe Madam made us learn her composition - the song "Hymn of Photography". GAAAASSH!! Kilabot talaga... medyo march kasi yun tune, na tipong magfa-flag ceremony kami. Ang masama niyan, I kept singing that song the whole day even after class!!! Eeeks!

Just as last week, we weren't blessed with a rain-free weather. Actually there was even a typhoon today. At around 330pm, we were asked to shoot na sa Fort Santiago. Luckily, medyo drizzle nalang yun rain. Super challenging talaga kasi ang dami naming bitbit. Besides the camera bag, siyempre nakapayong pa. Anyways, it was a fun experience. Iba talaga if you're shooting in groups. You could exchange ideas from time to time tsaka hindi boring. Some behind-the-scene photos:

bawal ang poise sa shoot... *LOL*

Here are some shots from today's session to be submitted for another photo critique next week. Tell me which one is the best. I will submit the one with the highest votes. :)

I fell in love with brick walls since it gives a bright contrast on the photos. Reminds me of our wedding pictorials taken by Dino at St. Peter. Galing!

P.S. Thanks Litzie and Alpha for including my blog in their "I Love Your Blog" list. Mua mua! Will post my share later. :)

P.P.S. There were a lot of people asking where my friend had those cellphone blings made. Sorry gals, secret daw. *LOL*

    Photography Class Day 1

    Sunday, September 23, 2007
I've been wanting to enroll in photography class since I got hold of our very first digital camera. I wasn't able to pursue this plan earlier because most of the photography seminars require attendees to have a manual SLR camera. I tried to look for ways to borrow one but obviously I didn't succeed. I'm just so glad DSLRs are "in" these days, hence cameras became relatively cheaper and digital photography classes likewise became popular. I learned through photography forums that there are actually a couple of good workshops being held around the Metro. I was really interested to attend Jo Avila's workshop but his studio is just a bit far from our place. So, in the end, I settled with the FPPF in Intramuros which is more accessible to me.

I enrolled in the Basic Photography Workshop which runs for 5 Saturdays. Today's my first day in class and boy, I was surprised to see almost close to 50 people in our class - different age group and profession - all gathered in one room. It's really fun to make new friends! And they all thought I'm still in my early 20's *cough*. *LOL* Anyways, most of the lecturers are already over 60 years old in age, but they do know their craft really well. Ika nga nila, dami nang pinagdaaanan. And it's quite interesting to learn about the technical side of the camera/lenses to understand fully how each component works to capture that perfect shot. The topic earlier today focused mainly on the different elements of controlling exposure. Since I've been scanning through different photography tutorials on the net, I kinda have a head start already compared to my other classmates. Siyempre, etong si nagmamagaling naki-tutor naman kunwari sa ibang classmates na kala mo ang galing galing *LOL* I kept emphasizing though that I just know about the theories... that's it! I dont' really know how to put every theory into practice. Trigger happy lang ako. And I doubt it if I can replicate the shots I've done in the past. *LOL* I also learned the difference between camera bodies with full-framed sensor and those with 1.5 or 1.6 cropped sensors. Hm... enabler eto for future camera upgrade. *LOL*

The classroom lecture was quite long and we weren't able to shoot much since it was practically raining the whole day. *sigh*

Mang Ador giving his lecture. Nikonians outweighed the Canonians. Eeks!

Trying the panning technique. After several attempts,
I was able to shoot one with my own hands! Ang hirap! *LOL*

Tried shooting in between session breaks and I was trying to search for lines and patterns. Not really very satisfied with my shots but this is the best among the crap. *LOL*

    talahib

I hope to do shoot more in the next few days since we were given assignments before the session ended. Pressure pressure! I've been randomly going through photos in flickr since I got home hoping to trigger some inspiration.

Before I end this post, I just want to share this cutie gift my friend gave me for my birthday. I was wondering why she asked for our pictures a couple of weeks ago. I thought she's cooking up a photo AVP for her son's 1st birthday this coming October na featuring the ninongs and the ninangs. Eto pala ang surprise niya *LOL* I sooooo love it!!! Cutie diba?? :)

    "daftology" is born

    Tuesday, September 18, 2007
    Thought you're lost? No, you're not. :)

Finally got our own domain name - http://www.daftology.com.

Name derived from hubby's online nick:

    daft (dft)
    adj. daft·er, daft·est
    1. Mad; crazy.
    2. Foolish; stupid.
    3. Scots Frolicsome.

[Middle English dafte, foolish, from Old English gedæfte, meek.]

    daft'ly adv.
    daft'ness n.

    daftster is the evolved variation.

Setting this thing up literally made me a real "daft". Even with hubby's explanation and all, I just couldn't understand how everything works (domain, host, etc). More reading and learning for me to do in the next few days.

P.S. I noticed a lot of google references to this blog lately... somebody's pinning us in google eh? Same with glo, full name pa namin ang sinesearch. hehe mare, pahiram ng linya mo ha - "psst searcher... paramdam ka naman!"

    Finally....

    Thursday, September 13, 2007
First off, I would like to start this post with a good news. A BIG one, I should say. After 5 1/2 years of waiting, it finally came. I can't bear to imagine the things we went through just to get these precious holograms on our passports! Just when we were starting to lose hope, *kaboom*! Well, at least, better late than never. We have a few months left to prepare ourselves before the BIG move.

Excited? Yes. But at this moment in time, I feel scared more than anything else. Of what, you might think? I dunno. One thing's for sure. I'm not afraid of what's going to happen when we get there, it's more of what's gonna be left behind. If these came a year or two earlier, I would have been happier. Well, I have less worries back then. Anyways, I understand this is just a temporary feeling. You know, just the way I felt when I knew I was pregnant. Afraid at first, but will slowly embrace reality.

Will be seeing more of this flag soon huh?

There are lots of things I want to blog about. The forgotten supplier ratings (which I originally planned to scrap out), more photos from the past that I wasn't able to share, a couple of overdue tags, and some random thoughts. Let's see if I can catch up in the next few days (it's the same line as always).

In the meantime, I'll share a blog I've been visiting a lot these days. The author is Scott Young. I can't believe this guy's only 19! He even has this Postitive Media Blog list which I have to visit one by one if I have time. I made a new subfolder in my bloglines list with the label "wellness" - meaning all feel-good and inspirational stuff goes inside. A couple of entries from Scott's blog that I can personally relate to:
There are a lot more.... I hope to see nodding heads while you dig on his posts. :) Happy reading!

P.S. Thanks to all who left their greetings.... to chikai: yes, the camera of K800i rocks big time! :)

    on and off

I thought bum days are over, but they're not!

I reported for work this morning, happy and contented with my 2-month-long rest (2 weeks bed rest + 45 calendar days of maternity leave). First thing upon arrival, went to the HR and filed all the medical claims, SSS reimbursements, and leave forms. Because of my ignorance with these matters, I got SUPER confused with SSS benefits vs our company's medical benefits. I thought I should get more. Not contented with HR's explanation, I searched for friends in my YM list (both friends and colleagues) and made some clarifications. So it turned out, there weren't really any problems with the claims. but but but... We're entitled to 60 days maternity leave for normal delivery and miscarriage, not 45. Yan kasi sabi sa akin before. Buti nalang tinanong ko ulit, otherwise sayang yun 15 days. It's my fault actually coz I should have read the employee handbook carefully. And it was really so stupid of me for not clarifying earlier since it's an obvious conflict with what's posted on SSS website (which is so me... oo lang ng oo). Anyways, 60 days is what is indicated in the labor code. Hence, bum days extended. :)

What I missed - photo club's Food Photography demo/practice session held last July!!!!! ARGH talaga!! I've been looking forward to this for a long time! Sayang talaga! They covered a lot of topics including how to use reflectors, framing, and the like (which I so wanna learn)! And of course, the chibugan after the shoot. Perfect timing sana coz our ninang who owns a restaurant was asking us to take photos of their dishes for menu folio. :(

What to look foward to - (1) photo club's Travel Photography demo/shooting session. yey! (2) company's badminton tournament - well, I really don't intend to join since hello, hindi naman ako magaling. But my colleagues were convincing me to participate coz most of them will be playing too. And ehem, I need to lose weight na rin so GO na rin ako. Beginner/Novice level lang naman kaya kahit pa-cute lang sa court ok na. *LOL* Hubby will be in charge of training me (if time permits). Sana di ko sya mapahiya. *LOL*

What I will be missing - visiting blog sites and photo sites at work. HAAAY! They're all blocked! Though I could still read posts from bloglines, but I won't be able to view the images. Never mind nalang, what's the fun of reading without the photos? And no downloading na rin since file sharing sites are also blocked. Though I can still get through if the freebies are hosted on individual servers. Oh well, I guess it's a sign that I should focus on my work and stop wasting time on non-work related stuff. Just as I wished. Well, I think it will only be difficult at first but later on things'll go back to normal. That's what I call cyber-withdrawal-symptoms. *LOL* I've been detaching from these addictions gradually over the past few months and I think I'll get over it soon enough. Don't get me wrong, I still love blogging, love taking photos, love digiscrapping. But I guess it's setting my objectives straight so that I focus on the goals I want to achieve rather than the things on the side. One word: output. Oh anyways, I was talking about blocked sites right? *LOL*

You might be wondering if being idle (from work) bores me? Surprisingly, no. I never run out of things to do. And believe me, my things-to-do list is still very long so 60 days is really far from enough! *LOL*

(ETA: Aggie! this, this, this, this, this, this are tickling my senses... baket ba ang cu-cute neto? mah god! na-addict na naman ako.... *LOL*)

    we're SMART

    Saturday, June 02, 2007
We've been waiting like forever for PLDT to respond to our request"S" for DSL connection. Not that we're happy with they're services (sucks big time) but we just don't have any other alternative coz they're the affiliated provider of the condo we're currently in. What's wrong with these guys? Don't they want business?

Just as we're starting to lose hope, here comes SMART 3G to the rescue! 10 pesos for 30 minutes, hey not bad! The lowest DSL plan of 999 is almost equivlaent to 50 hours of 3G connection. At least, we get to save a couple of bucks if we don't consume more than 50 hours each month. Speed wise, not bad in my opinion. Enough for surfing and downloading kits. I get a download rate of 35-40k/sec. Well, at least. I only get half the bandwidth with the office network! (oooopps! *LOL*) Not fast enough for torrent downloading though. But what the heck! Who am I to complain when all we have is dial-up? *hurray*!
